So I've been thinking of documenting my creative life for a while now.. and what spurred me on was disovering this blog: http://athoughtistheblossom.blogspot.com/ by the very cooly named Starr Crow, who has am amazing blog and takes absolutey wonderful pictures, I even feel my stomach turn when I look at some of them they are so amazing...
She has an amazing ability to dress. In a way I just don't know how to. She looks herself, she looks comfortable, and full of character
One thing I noticed... high-waisted skirts... I am waaaay behind with these. The ones in the shops are a bit tacky and teenagy, but I can see that a vintage skirt with a tucked in blouse and a belt and cardigan... can look so cool, so i'll be attempting to make one in the next week or so
I have also developed a mad frenzy for charity shop shopping... love it... can't be bothered with shops where you see rows and rows of the same stuff just hanging there... often with a sad limp look... unfortunately I havent been able to get to any in the last week... but going to go head to toe of North End Road in Fulham next weekend
So, im summary, Starr Crow inspired this journal but it will be in no way a rip of from hers, i would fail miserably, I dont even have a good camera... but I want to show off my creations, and show how the garden grows
to do:
- make high waisted skirt
- blitz charity shops next weekend
- plant some seeds for the students running the ESOC allotments
