2002

This was the first full year of university. I remember 1000 miles by Vanessa Carlton, particularly during a field trip. I think that is when I first got into Nora Jones too. I used to play that so much that my housemate used to complain.

and this is where this process is quite odd. apparently Totally Addicted to Base was this year.... and Justin Timberlake's album but I think i'll put that to 2003. To be honest, I didnt listen to a lot of music during my degree. Apart from when I was with my boyfriend and we listened to lots of hip hop, rap and RnB. 2002 would have been the first year that i moved away from home and lived away. Ah I remember something that I listened to- some christian rock stuff. I will have to dig that out. so Nora JOnes was the latter part of the year.

Ok let's move Justin and Gladiator theme song to 2003. India Arie to 2003. R kelly.

If i was to nominate one song it would be... Come away with me by Nora Jones.

2001

I thought we'd try something a bit more difficult today. 2001. That was the year I went to university. I wouldnt have had mp3 player yet. The last year of college was hard. In the summer before university i would have just worked, worked as much as i could have done.

I have no strong memories of that year for music. I would have revised a lot. but let's look at the charts.

OK so a few songs in the charts that I remember liking. Probably the most remarkable is Wyclef Jean - Perfect Gentleman, but I don't really remember rocking out to that then. Trick is when to add that whole damn album to the list because it has to be on the list. I think it was when I went to uni.

But the last year of college we would have had OPM Heaven is a halfpipe, D12 Purple pills. That was the year I went on hols and Shaggy was the top song. and because I got high. The camel trip- Lady- hear me tonight- Modjo. That song always reminds me when I came back from the camel trip and im sitting in the back of the 4x4 and i'm cold but feeling very cool.

Ok and Kylie minogue- cant get you out of  my head was a hit that christmas. And moby.

But generally have a bad memory from that time- music wise. So i'll nominate "Lady- hear me tonight" to be the song of the dear. But Can't get you out of my head is a close second.
